Fred Weasley

OOC: I’m sorry about the obnoxiously long OOC post guys, but I don’t want to leave you hanging.

So I know I’ve been MIA again for the past couple of days, more or less. But I’m having multiple complications irl right now and I really don’t have the time to roleplay. But I still want to stay in this roleplay because I love everyone here! With that being said, I’m taking a short break - but only for a while. Tessa, I’m sorry I didn’t get to that para, I swear I will as soon as I can. </3

I. LOVE. YOU. ALL. -Ariele

Bad Dreams and Comforting // Fred

-aliciaspinnet:

Alicia nodded when Fred shuffled over and patted the space next to him and sat down, tucking her legs under his comforter and wrapping her arms around his middle. She felt quite bad for waking him, he seemed to be so peaceful while he was sleeping and he certainly didn’t look like he had fully woken up yet. Alicia didn’t answer his question immediately, for the moment she was more focussed on reassuring herself that Fred was okay, it was just a dream. She held him tight and rested her head on his shoulder, sighing and clearing her throat.

“I had a bad dream.” Her voice wavered as she spoke and she bit her lip to try to stop any tears from spilling out. She was hesitating about telling Fred what happened in her dream, she didn’t want him to think she was ridiculous for reacting the way she was because of one silly dream. Then she remembered it was Fred. Fred wouldn’t judge her no matter what she had to say, and with this realization she took a deep breath and looked at him.

“We- We were playing Quidditch… and you fell.” Alicia her hardest to stop her shaking and keep from crying once again, but it was no use. The second she opened her mouth to elaborate on her dream, a sob came out instead and tears started freely falling down her cheeks. “I pushed you, and you fell… we were really high in the air, and… and…” She paused, finding it quite a struggle to spit out the last part. It took a minute or two of Alicia sobbing into his chest and clutching onto him as if he were the only thing she had left before she finally pulled herself together, took a deep breath, and whispered. “I killed you, Fred.”

Wrapping his arm around her and pulling the comforter over both of their bodies as she wound her arms around his torso, Fred patiently waited for when Alicia was ready to speak, absentmindedly twisting the strands of her hair with his fingers and peering down at her solemn face. Now wide awake, his own face was contorted with concern as his girlfriend seemed to struggle to utter a word. What, or who, would do something bad enough to make his girlfriend tremble? If it was a who, he was about ready to kill them with his bare hands for having her in such a state. He held her in his embrace tighter and more protectively, kissing the top of her head as she rest it on his shoulder.

Seeing the reluctance following her confessions of a nightmare, Fred knew it had to be something devastating. Alicia was always such a strong and confident girl, and just a petty flaw in a mere dream would not break her on a regular basis. He understood her enough to know that she was hurting from a bad dream, and for that reason came to visit him. It reassured him to know that whenever she had a problem, she would come see him. For he knew that whatever may happen, any sign of unhappiness or fear from his girl he wanted to know about. He remained silent, knowing the best was to just hold her in his arms and wait to listen to her.

As soon as she let out a broken sob through her choked words, Fred felt all lingering happiness that dwelt inside him completely drain itself from his system, the mere sound of her crying making his chest swell painfully tight. She described the dream of him falling from his broom and dying, and the guilt was evident in her words as she insisted it was her fault he had. Fred hated that she had to recall the terrible memory for his sake in knowledge. He held her close to him as she sobbed into his chest, shushing her softly and whispering nonsensical words of comfort into her ear quietly. “I’m okay, love. I’m here, we’re both here and fine. It wasn’t real and it was just a dream. Most importantly it wasn’t your fault under any circumstance. Please don’t cry, Alibear.” Fred murmured into her ear, gingerly brushing away the flowing tears on her cheek with his lips.

Bad Dreams and Comforting // Fred

-aliciaspinnet:

“Fred!”

Alicia shot upright and looked at her surroundings, relieved to see she was in her own bed. Though she knew the scene that had played out in her mind just a few moments ago was only a dream, she couldn’t stop the tears and sobs that were coming from her shaking body. It had been years since she’d had a nightmare and none of them had ever been as upsetting as the one she’d just had. Her nightmare involved Fred. It was simple, tragic, but very realistic. The two were playing Quidditch and had started playing rough with each other, Alicia had charged into him too hard, Fred had lost his balance and fell off his broom, dropping over 60 feet to the ground. The worst part was, when Alicia flew down to make sure he was okay, she found him lifeless. She had killed Fred.

Alicia clutched her pillow as she silently sobbed, not wanting to wake her roommates. She knew it was only a dream, but she was still completely terrified by it and knew she wasn’t going to be able to get to sleep anytime soon. Slowly, she climbed out of bed and crept out of the room, her teeth chattering and goosebumps rising to the surface of her skin. She hadn’t wanted to interrupt Fred, but she knew seeing him would be the only way to help her settle. Sniffling a little, she began walking to his dormitory, shaking as her feet carried her to him.

When she reached the dormitory, she slipped inside as quietly as she could, being careful not to wake any of the others. She looked across the room, heard Fred snoring softly, and instantly felt a little better, yet she still continued to cross the room to stand beside his sleeping figure. Taking a deep breath, she tapped Fred’s shoulder, hoping it would be enough to wake him up. In case it wasn’t, she shook him lightly and watched him, waiting for him to awaken. “Freddie, I can’t sleep.”

Sleep was one of the utmost things that Fred valued the most. About the equivalent of importance as eating was to him as well, he could fall asleep as soon as his head hit a pillow. Fred usually didn’t have dreams, nor nightmares for that matter, because somehow his mind more focused on getting solid sleep than being stuck in a hallucination created for his amusement. Though that specific night was an exception.

Fred had been dreaming about Alicia, and of other things involving her that he wouldn’t care to admit aloud when he felt a light prod at his shoulder, glimpsing at one last sight of her angelic face before being shaken from the fine line between fantasy and reality. His eyes struggled at first to open, blinking rapidly to make out an unbeknownst, blurry figure that stood in front of him. He was surprised to see in fact Alicia standing right there, and Fred still had the images of her from his dream glued in his head. His ears turned guiltily red at the thoughts, but he only hoped that it wasn’t apparent in the near dark of his dormitory. “Alicia?”

He sat up against the headboard of his bed, bringing a hand up to rub his sleep ridden eyes. “Can’t sleep? Why’s that, love?” He asked softly, his voice rough from disuse. His foggy vision soon cleared, and Fred found a shaken Alicia in front of him, shivering and teeth clattering. This snapped him wide awake and in alarm. Fred moved over in his bed for space for her to sit next to him, patting the spot for her to join him.

Weasley, the only thing that includes my interest and Gryffindors is what hex to practice on them

I wouldn’t spend much time trying to only still be practicing hexes on Gryffindors who will have mastered spells much more complex than your little brain could ever imagine, let alone comprehend. Don’t act like you’re smarter than those older than you, Pansy, because Godric forbid we all know you aren’t. It doesn’t take Merlin himself to figure that out.

Who says we have to stop in the first place?

We’d have to if we got caught! I can’t just sit there tossing you off while we’re being yelled at by a professor. -clears throat- “Excuse me, Professor, would you mind letting me finish Freddie off before we discuss detention and such?”

That sounds reasonable to me. -shrugs-

I could testify to that.

Even if we did end up with detention because of it, we could just finish what we’d started. -giggles-

Who says we have to stop in the first place?
